Michael brings many years of entrepreneurial and management experience to Harbor. He has worked with both large and medium enterprises to create solutions to better comply with government regulation and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
Michael is known for his consistent record of delivering extraordinary results in revenue growth, profitability and client retention in both the public and private sectors. He also has extensive experience leading consultative services, product management, marketing and engineering teams with a track record of developing market leading products and services.
Michael is a sought after speaker and presenter on a variety of networking and security topics, most notably security issues and mandates in the federal government; such as IPv6 transition and cybersecurity.
Prior to co-founding Harbor, Michael has held positions such as Director, President, CEO/Chairman, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Business Development. Along with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Norwich University, Michael holds a master’s degree in Business from Duke University – The Fuqua School of Business. In addition, Michael is a dedicated public servant; serving in the Army, as mayor of Hopewell Township and a member of the Hopewell Valley Regional School District school board.
Matt brings nearly 25 years of information technology and extensive cybersecurity experience to Harbor. He has held a broad range of responsibilities for companies both small and large, ranging from start-ups to multinational financial services organizations. In addition, Matt has held many customer facing and consulting roles that help drive the development and delivery of services.
Prior to co-founding Harbor, Matt was the Chief Technology Officer at Lumeta Corporation, where he was the principal technology executive focused on the delivery of the company’s cybersecurity vision. Before becoming CTO his responsibilities included VP of Products, Director of Technology Alliances and Managing Consultant. As Managing Consultant, Matt delivered cybersecurity risk assessments to organizations within numerous verticals, and which were centered around fact-based cybersecurity decision making and planning.
Matt is an active participant in many security-centric technology working groups, and is a regular invited speaker at industry events. Prior to Lumeta, Matt acquired extensive experience in network & security operations, network design, security management and transformation/transition management. Matt was Global Network Operations Manager for AT&T supporting General Motors and Delphi Automotive, as well as Client Services Manager for BankOne (Chase).
Matt attended The Ohio State University, acquiring a BA in history. Matt is also an avid golfer and platform tennis player, and participates on numerous school and community committees.
Joni is a marketing consultant specializing in network security driving product adoption, revenue and shareholder value at both early stage and publicly traded companies. She is experienced in all aspects of general management including product marketing, product management, sales management, and M&A.
She brings more than 20 years of marketing and communications and has held consulting roles at Cisco, Microsoft, EMC and Lumeta. While running her own PR and communications company she represented a wide variety of technology and consumer companies.
Joni holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Education from Boston College and an Executive MBA from George Mason University. In addition, Joni is dedicated to fundraising for the American Cancer Society and My Red Shoes, a non-profit that helps homeless and low-income children look and feel confident as they start the school year by providing them with the gift of new clothing and shoes.
